As a child one of my favourite stuffed toys was an elephant named Jojo.I still have him and his dishevelled appearance bears testimony to all the cuddles he has received from me over the years.

This precious little pachyderm named in his honour is quick, easy and inexpensive to sew. He can be made using scraps of fabric left over from previous sewing projects and in about an hour and a half you will have a one-of-a-kind cuddly elephant toy that is the perfect size for your little one’s naptime cuddles.

Time to sew: 1½ hours
Difficulty level: easy/suitable for beginner sewers
Suggested fabrics: cotton, corduroy, chenille, velvet, linen
Finished size: 13” high x 9½ long” (33 cm X 24 cm) approximately
